Uniforms

The pupils, who have been supported by school staff, have worked very hard during summer term to produce a guide that details the expectations of what is included in the Hermitage Academy School Uniform and also the standards of how it should be worn.

We are keen to highlight these expectations to you before we break up for the school holidays so you have them in mind when purchasing any school uniform that they might need for starting back after the summer.

As well as all the points highlighted within the leaflet can we draw your particular attention to the advice surrounding footwear for school. The Pupil Council have discussed this issue at length and with staff approval, have added the wearing of all black trainers to the list of acceptable school uniform. These should be completely black with no noticeable logos.

A high standard of uniform across the school helps to create an extremely positive work ethic and demonstrates that the young person is here to learn, wants to achieve their potential and be well prepared for life beyond school. We therefore ask for your collective support in helping us to establish as high a level of uniform as possible in the new term by individually ensuring that your young person is following the advice in the Pupil Council leaflet.

The Pupil Council have added on the reverse of their guide a helpful shopping/check list of uniform and other items that pupils may require for coming back to school in August. We hope that you find both this and the other information in the leaflet useful and ask that if you have any feedback for the Uniform Team that you submit this through the enquiries e-mail account on the school website (subject - Uniform Team).
